They were invented during the gold rush to serve a completely different purpose than they currently do. We immediately hit it off when we met on a choir trip to New York. Over sushi, we talked for hours and she quickly became a sister to me and even lived with me for about 6 months. Her family comes from Native roots, and they are seriously the most wonderful, kind, and loving family ever! We sang together in the Saints United Voices choir directed by Gladys Knight for over 15 years. Hello Tribe! I can’t believe how long it’s been since I posted a “Fashion” Blog. The last one featured my Nike Air Force 1’s which I am a huge fan of. And since that first day of 2021, we’ve been lucky in our community that our children have had the ability to participate in sports. My oldest son plays Varsity basketball and one of the influences that being a basketball mom has afforded me, is my awareness of the importance of “Kicks”.
