There are certain events in the design world that have more impact than just design itself — events that inspire creativity, celebrate artistry, and bring people together.
The San Francisco Decorator Showcase is one of those events.
Now in its 47th year, the Showcase has become one of the most iconic design events in the Bay Area, calling on some of the industry’s most talented interior and landscape designers to completely transform an incredible home — all while supporting an important cause.
Travel has a way of expanding your creative perspective, and recently, I had the opportunity to experience that firsthand during a work trip to Spain with Cosentino — exploring where many of their surfaces and countertops are created, designed, and housed.
As interior designers, it was more than just a trip. It was a reminder that great design is deeply rooted in culture, craftsmanship, and history.

In a world that constantly celebrates the “young founder,” the overnight success, and the viral twenty-something entrepreneur, it’s easy to feel like there’s a clock ticking on our dreams. Social media can make it seem like if you haven’t figured everything out by 25, you’re already behind.
There’s a certain point every year when winter suddenly feels finished — even before the weather agrees. Heavy layers begin to go back into the closet instead of laying on the chair, brighter mornings change our routines, and we naturally start reaching for pieces that feel lighter and easier.
Spring style isn’t really about trends for us. It’s about transition. About shifting how we show up day to day — a little more color, a little more movement, a little less heaviness.
There’s something quietly powerful about a coffee table book. It’s decor, yes—but it’s also a mirror. It shows what you’re drawn to, what you’re curious about, what kind of spaces you dream about when no one’s watching.
We don’t usually talk about rejection until it’s safely in the past. Once it’s been reframed, polished, and packaged as a success story. But in real time, rejection rarely feels inspiring. It feels confusing. Personal. Sometimes even embarrassing.
Yet, again and again, the stories we admire most are built on moments where something didn’t work out the way it was supposed to. A door didn’t open. A vision wasn’t immediately understood. A “no” forced a pause—and eventually, a pivot.
Rejection doesn’t mean the end. More often, it’s the redirection towards something better.
There was a time when fashion shows existed for one purpose: to introduce a new collection.
Today, they're something entirely different.
The modern runway has evolved into an experience—one that blends fashion, music, architecture, art, and culture into a single moment. The clothes are still the centerpiece, but they're no longer the only story being told.
