Interior Design Society is going to Paris!

As Interior Designers it is important for us to continue to learn and grow so we can provide the best creative offerings to our clients. Through the Interior Design Society, this year designers have the opportunity to travel to Paris! Taking a deep dive into the itinerary, there are many fun and unique events planned for the attendees. They will be taking everyone to the Mobilier National Royal Furniture storage, where they restore and maintain thousands of furnishings for official palaces in France and abroad. I’m certain unique inspiration will be found there. Also on the calendar is a visit to the Yves Saint Laurent Museum and adventures at the famous Maison et Objet where designers will have access to unique global vendors with a personal guide to navigate everyone through all of the amazing booths. And what better way to end the days at the Paris Flea Market where you can discover a bargain hunter's paradise at Paris' St-Ouen flea market, one of the largest of its kind in the world. Again, a local local guide will bridge any language barriers to help find unique pieces and negotiate the best deals with vendors . If you are an Interior Designer consider joining IDS on this great adventure. Be sure to check them out on Instagram and their website!

Hidden away within the storied walls of the Mobilier National in France lies a treasure trove of history, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage: the Royal Furniture Storage. As guardians of France's illustrious past, the Mobilier National preserves and protects an extraordinary collection of furniture, textiles, and decorative arts dating back centuries. We'll embark on a journey behind the scenes of this remarkable institution, uncovering the secrets and stories concealed within its hallowed halls. At the heart of the Mobilier National's collection lies a rich tapestry of royal furniture, commissioned by monarchs past to adorn the palaces and residences of the French court.
